Helen Huskey (pictured above, left, with Citizens Bank’s Julie Warden), custodian at Midland Elementary, was named Monday to receive the November “Citizens Bank Shine Like a Mustang Award.”

Citizens Bank said in a media release that Huskey exemplifies hard work and dedication and is highly appreciated for all that she does to help keep Midland Elementary clean and safe for students.

A fellow Midland staff member praised Huskey, saying, “Ms. Helen is the most phenomenal custodian. She takes extreme pride in her work and never stops working.”

With this new program, Citizens Bank and Midland School District aim to recognize staff members who shine in their role as Mustangs and live out the district’s vision to engage learning at high levels and embrace challenges without fear of failure. Staff nominate the award recipients, who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Midland School Board meeting each month.
