The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of the 70-foot Ferris wheel at White River Wonderland.
The Ferris wheel will operate from Dec. 13 to Dec. 21.
In 2023, the Ferris wheel attracted more than 6,700 riders during its one-week run, with half of them visiting from out of state.
“We are proud to partner with the City of Batesville to bring the Ferris wheel back for the fifth year in a row, adding to an already impressive list of attractions at White River Wonderland,” said Crystal Johnson, CEO of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce. “We aim to enhance the visitor experience and create a tradition that will bring guests back year after year. Attracting dollars from outside our community is a great way to support small businesses and strengthen our local economy.”
The White River Wonderland Ferris wheel is sponsored by NextEra Energy, Bad Boy Mowers, First Community Bank, Merchants & Planters Bank, Sherwood Urgent Care, Ozark Mountain Poultry, Peco Foods, Bank of Cave City, Intimidator Group, Jay Chafin State Farm, Centennial Bank, FARCO, FNBC, Home Depot, Precise, Southern Bank, and Summit Utilities.
“We are thankful for our Ferris wheel sponsors who recognize the need to invest in experiences that drive tourism,” Johnson said.
Batesville’s White River Wonderland was named the Ozark Gateway “Festival of the Year” and was a finalist for Arkansas Tourism’s “Attraction of the Year.”
“We hear from families from across the country who have built their holiday traditions around their trip to Batesville, Arkansas,” said Batesville Mayor Rick Elumbaugh. “We are proud to be the Christmas Capital of Arkansas. The hard work of Johnathan Abbott and the City of Batesville Landscaping Department continues to pay off every year.”
