The Hope for the Holiday 5K and Half-Marathon in Memory of Garrett Yeager is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Eagle Mountain Elementary School, 600 Eagle Mountain Road. The race will begin at 8 a.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics of Batesville and New Hope Refuge. New Hope Refuge is a faith-based and Christ-centered program that supports women struggling with substance abuse.
The 5K course will wind through the Eagle Mountain neighborhood, while the half-marathon route will extend to Lyon College, incorporating a three-quarter-mile trail section before continuing on country roads and returning to Eagle Mountain Elementary.
