Donald Clarence Branscum
March 19, 1955 – November 28, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Clarence Branscum (Duck), age 69, of Batesville, Arkansas, who passed away on November 28 at home surrounded by his family and friends. Donald was born on March 19, 1955, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Clarence and Virginia Branscum.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Donald was known for hard work and dedication to family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He loved working with his hands and could build or fix anything.
Over the years, he touched the lives of many with his ornery personality, generosity and kind heart.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law Junior and Shairon, his brother Robert, brother-in-law Shawn Gott, sister-in-law Sonya Schilling, and great-grandson Ryan.
Donald is survived by his wife, Rhonda Lee Gott Branscum, of 52 years; five daughters, Tonya Sharp of Savannah, MO, Misty Otero of Vine Grove KY, Tabitha Southern of Garden City KS, Angela Proffit of Windsor CO, and Sonya Jarrett of Cushman; and one son, Donnie Branscum Jr. of Bethesda; his sisters, Brenda McCans of Batesville, June Holman of Floral, and Kathy Barnett of Booneville. He had 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Arkansas Boys Ranch in Bethesda.
