Patsy Clark, 86, of Newport, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024. She was born on December 30, 1937, in Newport, Arkansas, to Lloyd Runyan and Emma Jean (Simmons) Mantooth.
A lifelong resident of Newport, Patsy was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. She enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of bowling and was a proud member of the Newport Women’s League. Her warm smile and friendly spirit were cherished by all who knew her.
Patsy was blessed to share 46 beautiful years of marriage with her soul mate, Bud Clark. Together, they built a loving family and a life full of cherished memories. Patsy was a devoted stepmother, sister, step-grandmother, and step-great-grandmother who brought joy and wisdom to her family. Her nurturing heart and unwavering support will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Llyod Runyan and Emma Jean Mantooth and her husband, Bud Clark, and her sisters, Myrna Lloyd Clark.
Patsy’s legacy is one of love, faith, and dedication to her family and community. She is survived by her stepson, Steven Clark, and his wife, Debbie, of Newport; her stepdaughter, Dana Hopkins, and her husband, James, of Newport; her sister, Emma Kathryn Ashley; her brother-in-law, Doyle Clark; and several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who mourn her loss and celebrate her remarkable life.
Services to honor Patsy’s life were held Monday, December 2, 2024, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Greg Dills officiating.
