White River Now’s Chad Whiteaker recently interviewed Curt and David Thompson of Thompson’s Jewelry in historic downtown Batesville.

The Thompson brothers are carrying on a family tradition as Thompson’s marks its 100th anniversary. Founded by their great-grandfather and grandfather on Nov. 5, 1924, Thompson’s Jewelry continues to operate out of its original location at 255 E. Main St. Over the past few years, the store has expanded its customer base with the growth of its online business.

Listen below as Chad and the Thompsons discuss the store’s history, memories of downtown Batesville, changes in the jewelry industry over the decades, the growing popularity of watches, and what the future holds for Thompson’s Jewelry. As their longtime motto says, Thompson’s is located on Main Street, “where your hometown jeweler should be.”

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Thompson’s Jewelry this holiday season with one of its largest Christmas sales. Visit them in downtown Batesville or online at thompsonjewelry.com.
