Robert Lynn “Rob” Brann, Jr., of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 62. He was born May 26, 1962, in Swifton, the son of Robert Lynn Brann and Phyllis Elaine (Cheek) Gale.
Rob graduated from Swifton High School in 1980. He later demonstrated his dedication to the school by serving on the Swifton and Jackson County School District School Board.
Rob worked on the Brann Family Farm and was also employed at the Jackson County Road Department. His favorite pastime was making daily drives around the farm. He enjoyed raising farm animals and especially loved his dogs.
Rob was a member of the Swifton United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lynn Brann; and an uncle, Bill Gatlin.
Rob is survived by his daughter, Ashton Brann and husband, Marcus Wallis of Swifton; his mother and step-father, Phyllis Elaine (Cheek) Gale and Don Gale of Swifton; two grandchildren, Avery and Case Wallis; his fiancé, Vivian King of Swifton; his aunt, Carylon Gatlin of Swifton; close friend, Chris Hensley of Alicia; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may attend a memorial visitation at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Members of the Swifton High School Class of 1980 are honorary pallbearers.
