An economic development update, reports from the police and fire departments, a new private club, and zoning amendments are just some of the agenda items for Tuesday’s Batesville City Council meeting.
Crystal Johnson, CEO of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, will present the latest economic development updates and provide a report from the Advertising and Promotion Commission.
Council members will review an ordinance to approve a private club permit application for “The Club on 3rd,” a new establishment located at 156 S. 3rd St., as shown in the featured image.
Other ordinances on the agenda include the following:
- Waiving competitive bidding: An ordinance to waive competitive bidding for the construction a splash pad by ACS Playground Adventures. This splash pad will be part of the redevelopment of Riverside Park, with an estimated construction cost of approximately $160,000.
- Adopting the 2025 city budget: An ordinance to approve the City of Batesville budget for the upcoming year.
- Zoning amendments: Two ordinances to amend the Batesville Zoning Districts Map. These will re-zone two properties from commercial to residential. The Batesville City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Batesville Municipal Building, 500 East Main.
