Shirley Annette Thomas, 77, passed away on December 17, 2024, in Batesville, AR. She was born on March 25, 1947, in Newport, AR, to the late Tommy Sutterfield and Jeanette (Westerman) Sutterfield. Shirley was of the Baptist faith. She loved fishing and playing bingo. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
Shirley is survived by her special friend, Lester Betts; son, Billy Thomas of Oil Trough, AR; daughters, Pam Cornish (Jeff) of Sidney, AR, Tina Burns (Randy) of Cushman, AR, and Sharon Martin (Danny) of Cushman, AR; grandchildren, Todd Smith, Casey Martin, Bo Hallmark, Cody Burns, and Katie Thomas; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Dwayne Sutterfield of McCrory, AR and Kenny Sutterfield; and sister, Linda Smith of McCrory, AR. She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Harold Thomas and Earl Thomas; and brothers, Gerald, Keith, Mike, Jerry, and Mark Sutterfield.
There will be a visitation held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 12 PM until 2 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Brother Carl Blankenship, will begin at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Todd Smith, Bo Hallmark, Cody Burns, Tommy Sutterfield, Ryan Adkisson, and Mark Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Shirley’s sons-in-law: Randy Burns, Danny Martin, and Jeff Cornish.
