Jerry D. Linville, 71, of Mountain View, Arkansas, went to be with our Lord in the early morning hours of December 14th, 2024. He was born March 25th, 1953, in Lepanto, Arkansas, to Joda Lee and Lilly Lois (House) Linville.
Jerry was a family man. He married his wife April 17th, 1975 and together they had four beautiful children. In his free time, Jerry was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing: many times doing those with his best friend, Alvin Alcorn. He liked horseback riding with his children and grandchildren, spending a lot of time on the back of a horse just riding with no destination in mind.
Jerry really was a jack of all trades. he spent many years driving a tractor, truck driver, and also a mechanic. You never really seen him just sitting around. Jerry was always up to something. He was the type of man if you needed something he’d get it done. He cares about his family and his community. He spent time as a volunteer firefighter, honorary deputy, bailiff, and so much more. He will be missed by so many. He left his footprints in us all, and his memory will forever be in our hearts.
Jerry left behind his loving wife of fifty years, Mary Elizabeth (Moore) Linville of the home; two children, Sabrina Linville and Rickey (Kasie) Linville both of Mountain View, Arkansas; bonus daughter, Stacey Petzold of Newport, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Micheal (Kayla) Linville, Christopher (Hope) Fisher, Holly Linville, Jaden Day, Kensie Linville, Katelyn Fisher, Kayden Burroughs, and Jaycie Burroughs; two bonus grandchildren, Marissa (Justin) Delvalle and Christina Moore; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Elle Mae, Oakley, Karson, and Kamdyn; three brothers, Rickey (Tuwania) Linville of Onia, Arkansas, Jackie (Rhonda) Linville of Cabot, Arkansas, and Timmy Linville of Midway, Arkansas; three sisters, Jeanie King of Midway, Arkansas, Jesse Mae (Jack) Phifer of Harrisburg, Arkansas, and Patricia Linville of Mountain View, Arkansas. Jerry is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Joda and Lois Linville; two sons, Danny and Jimmy Linville; one daughter, Nikki LeAnne; one grandson, Jordan Levi; one brother, Buford Linville; one sister, Betty Linville; niece, Kayla Hess; mother and father-in-law, John and Mary Moore.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 21st, 2024, at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel, beginning at 1:00 pm. Sister Johnnie Ruth Owens and Brother Jaden Day will officiate the service.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
