Bald Knob man dies after being struck by vehicle on U.S. 167

A Bald Knob man died Monday after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 167 in White County.

According to Arkansas State Police, David Neil Jones, 60, was walking north along the fog line of U.S. 167 when he was hit by a northbound Buick Enclave. The report noted Jones was in the northbound lane when he was struck.

Jones was taken to Unity Health in Searcy, where he later died from his injuries.

The weather was clear, and the road was dry at the time of the accident, which occurred at 6:23 p.m.
