Nancy Bowden Sims, 74, of Desha passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024.
She was born June 19, 1950, in Manilla, Arkansas to Lesley Bowden and Inez Swink Bowden.
Nancy was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly. She worked for White Rodgers for 12 years and then moved on to work as a CNA for 8 years. In her younger years she enjoyed playing sports. Nancy was a great seamstress, enjoyed flower gardening, going to yard sales and loved two-step and square dancing.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Darrell Sims of the home; two sons, Jeremy Cox of Kennett, Missouri and Michael Cox (Michelle) of Batesville; step-son, DJ Sims (Shelby) of Bonne Terre, Missouri; brother, Rickey Bowden of Desha; two sisters, Janice Boozer (Everett) of Locust Grove and Lou Wrinkle (Joe) of Pueblo, Colorado; five grandchildren, Kyle Cox, Mikaela Cox, Cody Bumpous, Maeghan Worley and Raylee Sims; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry Bowden and Lesley Bowden, Jr. and sister, Ann Dickerson.
Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Alderbrook Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home, with Chris Garrett officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am-1:00 pm Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Funeral Home.
