James Ray Williams, 72 of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas departed this life Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his residence. James Ray was born April 8, 1952, in Jonesboro, Arkansas the son of Ernest and Letha (Presley) Williams. They preceded him in death. He graduated from Weiner High School, served in the Arkansas National Guard, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. James Ray was also preceded in death by two brothers: Lionel Williams and Hubert Williams. He is survived by two sisters: Vaneta Harvey of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas and Sue French of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. until Service time. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeff Junyor conducting the service. These men will serve as Active Pallbearers: Eric Vaught, Kevin Williams, Stacy French, Keith Boyd, Avery Bise, Gunner Parks, Ethan Bise, and Storm Parks. The Employees of the Vaught Farms will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Interment will be in Fisher Cemetery.
