Marcella Carpenter, 84, of Cave City passed away December 29, 2024 in Cave City. She was born May 28, 1940, in Batesville to Curzy Dickey and Elwanda (Girtman) Dickey. She was retired from General Tire and a member of the church of Christ in Cave City. Marcella had a great love for the Lord and the brethren. After her great love for her church family, was the love for her family. Her children and grandchildren were second to none. She also enjoyed looking for arrowheads and raised game fowl for many years. Her love for others were evident in the way she served. Even when she was in her older years she continued to help others.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Joey Carpenter (Lisa) of Cave City; one daughter, Kim Vickery (Randy) of Cushman; five grandchildren, Blake Polston (Ashley), Nick Pierson, Dalton Carpenter (Ariel), Candra Bacon (Blaine), and Amanda Taylor (Brent); six great-grandchildren, River and Mia Carpenter, Blakely and Bella Polston, Titus Taylor, and Clara Bacon along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with Kenny Townsley officiating at the Fairview Cemetery in Cave City.
