Taylor sworn in as State District Judge for new District 14

Independence County Clerk Tracey Mitchell (above left) administers the oath of office to Chaney Taylor, who became District Judge for the new State District 14 on Jan. 1, 2025. District 14 includes Independence, Izard, and Fulton counties.

Taylor, currently serving as Independence County District Judge, will begin presiding as State District Judge in the new three-county district on Jan. 7, 2025, in Horseshoe Bend.
