Batesville High School senior Maggye Adams has signed to play basketball at Lyon College.
Adams, who transferred from Cave City, was ineligible to play under Arkansas Activities Association rules but continued practicing with the team throughout her senior season.
“Maggye embodies the grit and integrity we strive for in our program,” Batesville head coach Stan Fowler said. “Even though she hasn’t had the chance to compete on the court, her commitment to improving and supporting her teammates has been incredible.”
Fowler said Adams maintained a positive attitude and strong work ethic despite the eligibility restrictions.
“I have no doubt she’ll make a significant impact at Lyon College,” he said.
