Leon Combs of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on January 10, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born July 19, 1940, in Caraway, Arkansas, the son of Earl and Rachel Esther(Cason) Combs.
Mr. Combs worked at Country Side and retired from Norandal with Burns Security. He enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows. Mr. Combs showed his pride and joy, his truck, Ole Blue in many shows. He was a graduate of Tuckerman High School. Mr. Combs was a member of the Glen Street Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Wilma Wadley Combs; one sister, Freda Cooper; brother-in-law, Curtis Cooper; sister-in-law, Nancy Combs; two nephews; and his parents.
Mr. Combs is survived by his daughter, Teresa Carlton of Newport; two grandchildren, Sarah Cooper and fiancé, Cody Hembrey of Tuckerman, and Dexter Cooper and wife, Lauren of Tuckerman; one stepdaughter, Tina Webb of Newport; two brothers, Robert Combs and wife, Wanda, of Tuckerman, and Paul Combs of Tuckerman; one sister in law, Pam Lloyd and husband, Phillip; one stepsister, Melissa Montgomery and husband, Marty, of Swifton; host of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Judy Hawkins; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Monday, 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will held at 2:00 p.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Theron Lloyd, Freddy Cooper, Dexter Cooper, Cody Hembrey, Brandon Holloway, and Trevor Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Lloyd, Matt Lloyd, Curt Cooper, Garrett Montgomery, Mike Mashburn, Dee Dee Stapleton and Teddy Evans.
