A Batesville man has been charged in Independence County Circuit Court with multiple felonies after investigators say he was dealing methamphetamine, sometimes from his barbershop.
Troy L. Dixon Jr., 39, was arrested on Jan. 15 in the parking lot of his Vine Street barbershop on a warrant for three counts of meth delivery.
According to court documents, authorities began investigating Dixon in 2024 after learning he was allegedly selling meth from the shop. Agents said undercover purchases of meth from Dixon, each exceeding 10 grams, were made three separate times.
When arrested, Dixon was found with a baggie of meth weighing less than 2 grams in his jeans pocket, a glass pipe hidden in his hoodie, and a loaded 9mm handgun in his backpack.
Dixon faces additional charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and 1 possession of a firearm by a certain person. He is also charged as a habitual offender.
His total bond was set at $100,000.
