ATLANTA, Georgia — Scots women’s basketball’s Natalya Kaza is among the collegiate nominees for the 2025 Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup.

Kaza, a junior guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, is among 25 nominees from across the country in the running for the award. The nominees are listed from a vast array of NCAA programs ranging from Division III up to Division I. Of the 25 nominees, Kaza is one of three that represent an NCAA Division III institution.

The Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup is awarded by Athletes For a Better World, an organization that “uses sports to develop character, teamwork, and citizenship through commitment to an athletic Code for Living that applies to life, and to create a movement that will play a significant role in the transformation of individuals, sports, and society.”

The award is given to six recipients annually, two in the collegiate section. Nominees for the Wooden Cup exemplify “character, teamwork, and citizenship, the attributes Athletes for a Better World deems central to transforming individuals, sport, and society. The award establishes the recipients as athletes of excellence both on and off the field, role models both as performers and persons, the most important and distinctive honor athletes can achieve.”

Three finalists chosen from the 25 nominees for the award will be announced on Saturday, Feb. 15. Should she be among the three finalists chosen, Kaza will be invited to the awards ceremony on April 25, at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia, where the recipient of the Wooden Cup will be chosen.
