Obituary: Carolyn Kay Hutchinson

Carolyn Kay Hutchinson, 77, of Newark, departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2025, in Batesville. She was born in Amagon, Arkansas, on June 12, 1947, to Edward and Avais Faye Richardson Williams.  Carolyn was a homemaker and a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, and watching movies featuring the Disney characters, Shirley Temple, and Elvis. She will be remembered as an amazing cook!  She made the best cocoa gravy, pinto beans and cornbread, as well as yeast rolls which were perfect.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Mellissa (Gary) Dodson, of Newark, and Lisa Michelle (Jason) Fox, of Washington State;  her sons, Thomas Herschel Stone, of Charlotte, and Eddie Wayne Stone, of Batesville; her brothers, Tommy Williams, of Newark, Larry Williams, of Newark, and Henry Williams, of Sulphur Rock; her sisters, Brenda Stone, of Newark, Cynthia Moye, of Cave. City, Wilma Brown, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Pamela Williams, of Newark; her grandchildren, Cheyenne, Mike, Destinee, and Christan; her great-grandchildren, Sunalaya and Elias; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Jeff, Joe, and Jerry Williams.
