Margaret Ann (Jenkins) Prothro, 84, of Cabot, AR, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Margaret was born on November 4, 1940, in Bryn Mawr, PA, to the late Edward R. Jenkins Sr. and Anna Caroline (Lane) Jenkins. She was of Christian faith and served the Lord by the way she lived her life and as a dedicated member of Allen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Margaret loved to worship Jesus. She was a member of the choir (the only deaf member), could play the piano, and performed in the Passion Play every year. Margaret’s faith was also evident in her desire to serve others. She enjoyed volunteer work, having volunteered at the Alpha Center in Batesville for over 20 years. She also loved animals, especially her dog “Sasha” and her service dog, “Vyka”. Margaret also loved music and watching Wheel of Fortune. Out of all her hobbies and passions, the thing she loved the most was time spent with family and friends. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by those who were blessed to know her.

Margaret is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Benjamin E. Prothro. She is survived by her two daughters, Beth J. Lindquist, of Cabot, AR, and Diana J. Pointer (David J.), of Cabot, AR; her brother, Edward R. Jenkins Jr., of Bellefonte, PA; her sister, Deborah L. Jacobson, of Lake Oswego, OR; her 3 grandchildren, Willow Pointer, Andrew Shouse, and Mollykathryn Puckett; and her two great-grandchildren, William Shouse and Donovan Shouse.
