Darlene Atchison, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Mountain View, Arkansas, on January 16th, 2025. She was born Rose Darlene Goodwin on January 25th, 1937, in Pittsburg, Oklahoma to Doss and Anna (Bell) Goodwin.
During her youth, she attended high school in Pasadena, Texas, where she showcased her musical talent as a drummer in the school’s marching band. Her creativity extended beyond music; she was a skilled seamstress and quilter whose beautiful creations brought warmth and joy to those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Donnie Lancaster and Dale Lancaster of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Diana Lancaster of Shirley, Arkansas. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
