Linda “Cricket” Kay (Redd) Crawford, 58, of Newport, AR departed this life and returned to Glory on January 12, 2025. Linda was born at Midnight on Halloween, October 31, 1966, to Lloyd & Ellen Redd in Newport, AR. As a teenager, she spent several years under the Florida sunshine before making her return to Arkansas. In 1984, she met Billy Joe Crawford in Newport and wed in 1986. Together, they welcomed two sons, Billy-Joe & Andy in 1989 & 1993, respectively. Linda worked a few years at Fred’s Dollar Store and as a Deli Manager at Price Chopper before spending almost two decades as a devoted Homemaker. Her greatest joys were found in the love of her husband and the precious gift of motherhood to their two sons. Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed hosting and going to yard sales and thrifting. She found great pleasure in researching health & wellness and it became a cherished escape of hers for many years. She also loved to karaoke and always found joy in the melodies of country and R&B music. With a remarkable green thumb, she nurtured her plants, adding life and beauty into her country home. Cooking was another passion of hers; creating warmth and love around the table at suppertime. Linda Kay made many lasting friendships over the years and indulged in gossip with her girlfriends over a Fuzzy Navel cocktail.

Linda was predeceased by her infant daughter, Kristy Kay Crawford, father, Lloyd Junior Redd, brother Lloyd Eugene Redd, her husband Billy Joe Crawford and mother Marie Ellen (Sexton) Redd Mosmann. She is survived by her sons, Billy-Joe (Crawford) & Jeromy Wright of Palm Springs, CA and Andy Joe & Lacey Crawford of Batesville, AR, sisters Carolyn Marie (Redd) and Donald Davis of Newport, AR, Debra Joan (Redd) Mullins of Jonesboro, AR and Donna Sue (Redd) & Timmy Peacoe of Thomasville, GA.
