Born on April 29, 1950, in San Francisco, California, Lynnette was the daughter of Richard Melvin and Letha Jeanette DeLong. She resided in Strawberry, Arkansas. Lynnette passed away on January 17, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Little Rock, at the age of 74.

In October 1967, she married Stanley Jeffrey in Searcy, Arkansas. Lynnette was the love of Stanley’s life, just as he was hers. Together, they shared 57 years of marriage and raised three children.

Along with raising her children, Lynnette always dreamed of owning a pasture filled with animals. Her lifelong love, Stan, made those dreams come true—true soulmates! She worked hard and embraced life to the fullest. No matter her age, she remained spunky and well put together, always wearing fashionable clothing and keeping her appearance up to date with great hair. She was often seen driving her Mustang, and music from Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn could always get her dancing. Lynnette had a remarkable ability to train horses, who knew she was the boss, and she shared her riding skills with many. Her love for animals was boundless; she housed all types, including guinea birds, goats, chickens, and even bred German Shepherds who had a strong protective bond with her. Witty and adventurous, Lynnette was also proud to be a Daughter of the American Revolution, reflecting her deep values of patriotism. With her beautiful sky-blue eyes and strong work ethic, she left a lasting impression on this world. May the memory of her journey never end!

She was preceded in death by her parents, her foster mother Winnie Elizabeth Bell, her sister Gwendolyn Sue (Gwen) Carter, and her daughter Angela Sue Chandler. Lynnette is survived by her husband, Stanley; her son, John Thomas Jeffrey (Anndrea); her daughter, Staci Lynn Medlock; and her sister, Lana Davis (J.C.). She also leaves behind her grandchildren—Daniel Thomas Douglas, Sheena Lynn Douglas (Drew), Matthew Merit Morton, Andrew Edward Morton, Kristen Dael Hodges, Jordan Elizabeth Cruz (Alberto), Paris Maralla Jeffrey, and Tucker Bay Jeffrey—as well as great-grandchildren Spencer Lynn Mattson, Maximus Jay Kaminsky, and Rylee Jane Morton, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Lynnette will be remembered for her strong will and determination. She will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel.
