Lyon College basketball coaches will be trading their usual attire for suits and sneakers during their upcoming games against Webster University on Jan. 30 as part of Coaches vs. Cancer’s Suits and Sneakers.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about the fight against cancer. Men’s head coach Rodney Mayes, assistant coach Sae’Quahn Rogers, women’s head coach Casey Fowler, and assistant coach Michael Peckham will all participate by wearing suits paired with sneakers on the sidelines.

In previous years, Lyon College’s cancer awareness events included a moment of silence to honor survivors and those who have lost their battles to the disease. This year, the Lyon College Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) will lead the effort, organizing a silent auction basket and a donation table at the games. The winner of the auction will be announced before the men’s game.

Fans can also donate to the American Cancer Society by clicking here or by scanning a QR code (below).
