Batesville High School has been named one of only 50 schools in Arkansas to achieve a top 5% growth rate in graduation rates.
As a result, the Batesville School District will receive a financial award of $93,666.96.
In a statement announcing the recognition, the district said it will collaborate with Batesville High School Principal Kevin Bledsoe and his team to decide how the funds will be used.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition and financial award. It reflects the hard work of our teachers, counselors, and support staff who continually go above and beyond to ensure our students are prepared for their future,” Bledsoe said.
Superintendent Ken James echoed Bledsoe’s remarks, emphasizing the collective effort behind the achievement.
“This recognition is a testament to the tireless efforts of our staff at BHS. Their commitment to student success and academic excellence is truly commendable. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and the positive impact it has on our students and community,” James said.
