On Thursday, the Cedar Ridge School Board hired Chris Davis (pictured) as assistant superintendent for the 2025-26 school year. Davis will continue to serve as the high school principal.
Davis has 24 years of experience in education, including five years at Cedar Ridge.
Superintendent Roger Ried will continue in his position for the 2025-26 school year.
“I’m very excited to serve another year at Cedar Ridge and work alongside Chris,” Ried said in a statement. “We will work together to ensure continuity in the culture and fiscal strength of the district.”
“I am excited to be allowed to step into the role of Assistant Superintendent and continue to work alongside Mr. Ried and our incredible team to move our district forward,” Davis said. “It is not very often someone gets the opportunity to be mentored on the job. I am extremely blessed to have this opportunity.”
