A 22-year-old Evening Shade man is facing multiple felony charges and a $100,000 bond after allegedly firing a gun near two pedestrians in Melbourne last year.

According to court documents, Joseph Ray Horn (pictured below) told a confidential informant he fired at two people walking near the Melbourne Sonic on July 23, 2024. The arrest affidavit stated Horn smiled as he recounted the shooting to the informant.

Horn is also charged with a felony count of delivery of methamphetamine based on an alleged controlled drug purchase involving an informant.
