January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and Family Violence Prevention in Batesville is holding an open house for its Anti-Human Trafficking Resource Center on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will also hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the center beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Family Violence Prevention’s Anti-Human Trafficking Resource Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by offering advocacy, resources, and shelter to those in need.
Taylor Jones, Marilee House, and Roxanne Ranaudo from Family Violence Prevention recently visited with White River Now’s Chad Whiteaker on 1340 KBTA about the new center and Family Violence Prevention’s history in Batesville.
