
Donald Ray Howard of Amagon, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born June 11, 1942, in Balch, Arkansas, the son of Gus and Louise (Koettel) Howard.
Mr. Howard was a self-employed farmer running Tri-Farms for over thirty-five years until his retirement in 2014. He loved farming and teaching his nephews how to work on the farm. He will be remembered as a hard worker. He also worked at Victor Metal as a security guard. Mr. Howard enjoyed gardening, squirrel hunting, and cooking, especially making desserts. He loved spending time with his family. Mr. Howard was a member of the Midway Church of Christ.
Mr. Howard was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Betty Howard; one nephew, Jason Howard; one great nephew, Austin Davis; and his parents.
He is survived by two brothers, David Howard and wife, Diane, of Balch, and Rick Howard of Balch; two sisters, Dyann Davis and husband, Ralph, of Balch, and Linda Jacobs and husband, Jake, of Longview, Texas; very loving uncle to six nieces and nephews, Tammy Lisko and husband, Tommy, Stacey Crotts, Rachel Penix and husband, David, Keith Davis and wife, Cindy, Chris Howard, and Brian Davis; eleven great nieces and nephews, Danielle Lisko, Cody Lisko, Hayden Davis and wife, Serena, Nathan Crotts and wife, Victoria, Jordan Davis and wife, Audrey, Issac Davis and wife, Meagan, Natalee Luce and husband, Dallas, Sydney Davis, Ella Howard, Allie Howard, and Jason C. Howard; two great-great nephews, Hayes Davis and Drake Luce; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at Jackson’s Funeral Home, Monday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Midway Church of Christ with Mr. David Howard officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Keith Davis, Chris Howard, Brian Davis, Nathan Crotts, Issac Davis, and Cody Lisko. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
