“Faith the size of a mustard seed”, Sherry wore a necklace with that meaning 24/7. That necklace explained her perfectly; she knew Jesus would always be by her side through the good, the bad and the ugly. To know Sherry was to love her, she had a loving soul and kind heart. She was an amazing daughter, mother, granny, sister and friend. Her favorite things to do was hike, kayak, take pictures, go to auctions, hang out with friends, and ride horses, side by sides and four-wheelers. She surrounded herself with people who she knew would always be in her corner. She fought one of the hardest battles in 2020, to turn around and fight even harder in 2024. She would be the first person to hit her knees, put her hands together and pray that everything was going to be okay.
We remember when the call came to go to the hospital for Elwood, the first thing she grabbed was her Bible, which she read and prayed over the entire way there, while also trying to comfort Chaney and Lane. There are no better words to describe Sherry other than a woman of God.
One thing Sherry wants everyone to know and to take with them is, “Stay in the fight till the very end, handle setbacks gracefully and prioritize God as #1, He will never forsake you or turn you away.”
Sherry leaves behind her parents, Robert and Donna Ballard of Batesville; her brother, Robert Brian Ballard of Batesville; a son, Lane Jackson of Drasco; a daughter, Chaney Williams (Hunter) of Bradford; an adopted son, Jared Ganus of Batesville; three grandchildren, Brayleigh Jackson, Paisley Williams and Payton Williams along with a host of other relatives and friends.
