William “Bill” H. Hall, 92, of Newark, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born in Newport, Arkansas, on June 10, 1932, to Rufus and Hazel Hall.
For 35 years, Bill read meters for AP&L and was a member of the Newport Voluntary Fire Department. He enjoyed working with people while doing security for Walmart throughout the holidays.
He and his wife of 48 years, Betty, spent their weekends going to auctions wherever they could find one. He enjoyed camping down on the river and fishing with his buddies.
Bill was proud to say he was a member of the “Newport Class of 1950.”
He and Betty attended the Grace Baptist Church of Augusta.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Taylor) Hall; daughters, Linda Deason (Ronnie), and Carolyn Johnson; grandchildren, Rhonda Pearson, Mandolin Barnes, Ashley Davidson, Andrew Wyatt, Sarah Drake; great-grandchildren, JC Pearson, Kate Pearson, Blake Barnes, John Barnes, Chelsey Davidson, Audrey Davidson, Axton Davidson, Atlas Davidson, Davidson Drake; his brother, Jim Hall; niece and her family, Susan Hall Elledge (Alvis) and children, Allen and William Elledge.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Betty Ann Wyatt.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to -12:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home of Bradford on Friday, January 31, 2025. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00pm at Wyatt Cemetery (Goodie Creek Rd.), Rosie, Arkansas.
