George Mathis Lawrence, 92, of Mountain View, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at his home. George was born on January 5, 193,3 in Big Flat, Arkansas to the late James Littleton and Maybelle (Wallis) Lawrence.

George proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. George worked most of his life as a farmer and loved growing peach and pecan trees. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

George is survived by his wife, Bervie (Balentine) Lawrence of Mountain View, Arkansas; son, David Lawrence and wife Deborah of Tampa, Florida; daughter, Gloria (Lawrence) Ramsey of Pueblo, Colorado; grandchildren, Amy Bauer of Pueblo, Colorado, Sarah Redman of Greeley, Colorado, Kassi Lawrence of Searcy, Arkansas, Kandiss Ayala and husband Nic of Milliken, Colorado, Kristopher Lawrence of Tampa, Florida, Jeremy Lawrence and wife Heather of Denver, Colorado, Tarianna Kellbrew and husband Michael of Mountain Home, Arkansas; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Daisy Rachel, Rhoda Magdalene, and Sarah Lucille; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

George is preceded in death by his parents, James Littleton and Maybelle (Wallis) Lawrence; brothers, Joseph Price Lawrence, David Daniel Lawrence, and James Arthur ”Virgil” Lawrence; and two sisters, Mary Elosha and Grace Elizabeth.

Visitation is Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM with Brother Brent Nichols and Brother James Earl Taylor officiating.

Pallbearers are Kristopher Lawrence, Jeremy Lawrence, Gavyn Carbajal, Nic Ayala, Mark Nichols, and Todd Nichols. The honorary pallbearer is Jessie Reece.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
