Donald Chris ‶Don″ Detering, 78 of Harrisburg, Arkansas formerly of W. Covena, California departed this life Monday, February 3, 2025, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Don was born January 19, 1938, in Mascoutah, Illinois the son of Elmer and Dorothy (Pleitner) Detering. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives: Jeri (Cousins) Detering and Jodine (Metcalf) Detering, his son, Christopher George Detering, and his youngest brother, James Detering. Left to mourn his passing are his brothers: Charles, Robert and Monroe and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Cremation has been chosen as the final disposition. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
