The Batesville School District will host a meet-and-greet event March 10 to welcome incoming superintendent Dr. Ginni McDonald.
The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Batesville Community Center in second-floor Rooms A and B.
McDonald, currently superintendent of Russellville School District, will assume her new role July 1, 2025. The Batesville School Board selected her following an extensive search. Her previous experience includes leadership positions in the Fort Smith and Greenwood school districts.
The National School Public Relations Association has recognized McDonald as one of the nation’s top emerging superintendents.
Current Superintendent Dr. Ken James praised McDonald’s appointment: “Dr. McDonald is an exceptional leader who brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for education. She has a remarkable ability to connect with students, staff, and the community, ensuring that every decision is made with their best interests in mind. Her vision for academic excellence, strategic planning, and student achievement aligns perfectly with the Pioneer spirit, and I have no doubt she will lead Batesville School District to new heights. I encourage our community to come meet Dr. McDonald and help us give her a warm welcome to Pioneer Nation.”
