Danny Daniels (pictured above, right, with Citizens Bank’s Community Engagement Officer Ashley Engles on the left), assistant principal at Batesville Junior High School Charter, was named Monday to receive the February Citizens Bank “Above & Beyond” award.
In a release, Citizens Bank said with Daniels’ strong work ethic, influential leadership, and ‘Students First’ heart, Danny is beloved by staff and students alike.
His peers said:
- “Mr. Daniels has outstanding leadership and dedication to both staff and students. He’s one of the best bosses I’ve ever worked for. He is always visible around the school, greeting students with a smile and a fist bump, and connecting with teachers. His focus on building strong relationships creates a positive and supportive environment for everyone.”
- “Mr. Daniels is a valuable asset to BJHSC. He is passionate about the students and ensuring they are loved and taken care of. He will advocate for students and what they need whether it is in the classroom or outside of the school.”
- “Danny always goes above and beyond for the students on our campus. He treats students with fairness and compassion. He greets students outside each morning, rain or shine, and makes them feel welcome. He has been the biggest help to me and I know he helps support so many other teachers and staff.”
- “Danny Daniels deserves the ‘Above & Beyond’ award for his exceptional leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to both the students and staff. His willingness to put in extra time, whether it’s through organizing events, mentoring students, or stepping in during challenging situations, demonstrates his passion for education and his role in shaping the future of the school community. His approachability, vision, and tireless work ethic make him an invaluable asset to the school, truly embodying the qualities of someone who goes above and beyond.”
Since 2012, Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District have recognized staff members who go “above and beyond” to realize the district’s mission to empower today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. Staff in all schools and departments throughout the district nominate award recipients, who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Batesville School Board meeting each month.
