Arkansas’ 95th General Assembly is in session at the state Capitol.
This week, lawmakers considered bills to regulate the ballot process and abolish state boards overseeing public libraries and Arkansas PBS. (Click here to read this week’s SESSION SNAPSHOT from the Arkansas Advocate.)
Also under discussion is Senate Bill 182, which would require counties to operate under the previous year’s annual appropriation ordinance until a new one is adopted.
On Friday morning, Reps. Shad Pearce (pictured above, right) and Bart Schulz (pictured above, left) spoke with White River Now’s Chad Whiteaker on 1340 KBTA about SB 182 and House Bill 1180, which would require public schools to show students a fetal development video.
Listen below to their conversation:
Rep. Shad Pearce is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 40, which includes portions of Independence, Cleburne, and White Counties.
Rep. Bart Schulz is also serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 28 which includes portions of Sharp, Lawrence, Independence, and Stone Counties.
