
Rickey Devon Reeves, aged 70, of Salado, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was born on July 20, 1954, in Martinez, California, to George Devon and Violet (Sanders) Reeves. Rickey was a devoted husband for 50 years, father, and grandfather, embodying the true essence of love, selflessness, and dedication.
Rickey enjoyed hot rods and cars, especially the Model A. During his working years, he worked in medical supplies as a supplier and in operations management.
Rickey found solace and strength in his unwavering faith, worshipping at Southside Church of God. His faith in God never wavered no matter what the circumstances would be and he always loved going to church.
Rickey will be forever loved and fondly remembered by his children, Jeff Reeves, Tina Schales(Scotty) of Salado Arkansas, Mark Reeves of Salado, Arkansas, George Reeves of Salado, Arkansas, and Amber Grigsby (Bradley) of Salado, Arkansas; as well as his grandchildren, Kyler Reeves, Brantley Grigsby, Corbin Grigsby, Zoey Grigsby, Brook Farris, and Dakota Chavers; and great grandson, Sawyer Farris.
His memory will also be held dear by his brothers, Larry Reeves (Shawnette) of Cave City, Arkansas, Charles Reeves (Candy) of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Terry Fletcher of Bono, Arkansas; sisters, Linda Melton (Tommy) of Batesville, Arkansas, Kathy Schrimsher of Batesville, Arkansas, Misty Burnett (William) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Violet Sheffield of Desha, Arkansas; several nieces; nephews; loved ones; and friends.
Rickey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Reeves, and parents, George and Violet Reeves.
Funeral Service will be Friday, February 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro. Don Clark is officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the Egner Cemetery in Salado.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Schales, John Parks, Michael Foster, Joe Foster, Dustin Hall and Bradley Grigsby
Visitation will be on Friday, February 21, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.
