Ruth Ann McElroy Mixell, 59, of Newark passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Batesville. She was born September 23, 196,5 in Greenwood, IN to Billy and Mary McElroy. She was a healthcare provider and of the Baptist faith. Ruth enjoyed sports, motorcycle riding, and her dog and loved people.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Ruby Heron and Ruthie Wood; niece, Dana Vandell and nephew, Daniel Barber.
Survivors include her parents, Billy and Mary McElroy; sisters, Lavonda Sanders, Marie Fortenberry (James), Helena Young and Teresa Yates along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service chapel. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Vandell, Adrian Pearcy, Xavier Pearcy, Clint Fulks, Logan Young and Oliver Clanton.
