We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Steven Ray Sides on February 15, 2025, at the age of 60. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Steven was born on December 27, 1964, in Hiawatha, Kansas to his loving parents Harvey and Betty Sides. He grew up in Holton, Kansas and attended Holton High School where he made lifelong friendships and perfected his mischievous sense of humor, infectious kindness, heart as big as the world and an ability to lure any animal his way.
Steven was a beloved father to his daughter Shannon Sides (Jason). He was a proud grandfather to his cherished granddaughter Addison. A loving son and brother to Randy, Troy and Corey. Uncle to Jessica, Heather, Skyler, Preston, Parker, Braden, Emma and Kade as well as a great uncle to Olivia, Bennet and Stassi. And a friend to everyone who entered his life. In his free time, Steven enjoyed indulging in his hobbies of fishing, hunting for morel mushrooms, and soaking up the beauty of the great outdoors. He was always the life of the party, cracking jokes and making everyone around him smile. Steve will be remembered for his laughter, his unwavering loyalty to his loved ones, and his uncanny ability to find joy in even the simplest of moments. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Steven. May you forever fish in calm waters and enjoy sunny skies. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
