
Tommy Williams of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born June 19, 1948, in Wabash, Arkansas, the son of Franklin and Avis Faye (Davis) Williams.
Mr. Williams was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Entergy, where he worked at power plants. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and a retired volunteer fireman in Newark.
He enjoyed fishing and going for drives. As a member of the Newark Southern Baptist Church, he had a deep love for God and enjoyed reading his Bible.
Mr. Williams especially cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Christian Williams; three brothers, Joe Williams, Jeff Williams, and Jerry Williams; one sister, Kay Hutchison; and his parents.
Mr. Williams is survived by three sons, Darrick Shad Williams and wife, Teri of Paragould, Adam Keith Williams and wife, Paula of Batesville, and Ethan Levi Williams and wife, Sherry of Newark; his grandchildren, Katy, Konrad, Austin, Micah, Dillion, Samuel, Anna, Zachary, Tevin, Branch, River, Creek, and Spring; his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Weston, Blaine, Judah, Violet, and Evelyn; two brothers, Henry Williams of Sulphur Rock, and Larry Williams of Newark; four sisters, Wilma Brown of Kansas, Brenda Stone of Newark, Cynthia Wood of Strawberry, and Pam Wood of Newark; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Jackson’s Newark Funeral Home Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers are Austin Williams, Samuel Williams, and Zachary Williams.
