It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of L.B. Starkey, of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, who left this world on February 12, 2025. L.B. was born on April 28, 1948, in Elaine, Arkansas, to proud parents, Ollie B. Starkey and Dollie Elvira (King) Starkey.
One of L.B.’s favorite pastimes was tinkering with things and going junking for hidden treasures. He had a knack for finding beauty in unexpected places and turning trash into treasure. His most prized treasure was his family and his friends.
He leaves behind two daughters, Lisa Starkey and Ann Starkey; his sisters, Joyce Ann Starkey, Addie Marie Hertz, Brenda Kay Gray, and Bonnie Sue Wilson; three his brothers, James Starkey, Wilford Starkey, and David Lee Starkey.
He also leaves behind six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews, who will always remember his playful spirit and kind heart.
L.B. will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. He is now reunited in heaven with his wife, Violet, his mother, Dollie, and his father, Ollie B. He is also joined by his brothers, Robert Lee Starkey, Thomas Earl Starkey, and Kenneth Starkey, as well as his sister Nona Pauline Starkey.
To cherish the memory of L. B., flowers may be sent to the family or the planting of a memorial tree.
