James Harrison (pictured above, center, with Sloan-Hendrix School District Superintendent Clifford Rorex, left, and Citizens Bank’s Kimberly Moore, right), the student resource officer at Sloan-Hendrix School District, was named to receive the January “Citizens Bank Excellence in Citizenship” award.
“Officer Harrison is a positive role model to students while helping to establish a safe, positive, and respectful environment for students and staff,” said Rorex. “He serves as a mentor and goes out of his way to encourage students on a daily basis.”
With this new program, Citizens Bank and Sloan-Hendrix School District aim to recognize students and staff members who are committed to living out the district’s mission to preserve yesterday, excel today and prepare for tomorrow. Staff nominate the award recipients who receive a Certificate of Excellence, an Excellence in Citizenship mug, a Greyhound Paw Print ink pen and keychain, and a $25 Walmart gift card from Citizens Bank.
