
Georgia Lee Gilmore, 84, of Poughkeepsie, passed away Sunday morning, February 23, in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born February 22, 1941, in Longview, WA, to Clarington and Cleo (Tucker) Gilmore. She was retired from White Rodgers and was of the Christian faith. Although never married and had no children of her own, she was a key figure in many lives and lovingly known as “Aunt Georgia” to all. Before her illness, she enjoyed baking, gardening, hunting whitetail deer, and watching television, especially classic TV shows, PGA golf, NASCAR racing, and the Winter Olympic Games. She will forever be remembered for her loving nature and giving spirit.
She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers – Robert Gilmore and Frank Gilmore, and four sisters – Gloria May Gilmore, Jimmie Huckabee, Lillie Alliene Dixon, and Lewis “Lew” Christenberry.
She is survived by one brother, Merle Gilmore (Esther) of Batesville; one sister, Rose Dorris of Cave City, one niece/sister, Beth Fleming (Charles) of Cave City, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Jeff Noordhoek officiating. Burial will follow in the Marvin Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Gilmore, Jonathan Dorris, Austin Weld, Justin Weld, Chad Dockins, and Travis Dockins.
Honorary Pallbearers are Merle Gilmore, Charles Fleming, Ron Kiekel, John McSpadden, and all her nephews and nieces.
