Fans of comics, movies, TV, books, and gaming will gather for a weekend of excitement at White River Fan Con 2025, taking place March 7-9 at the Independence County Library, 267 E. Main. The all-ages convention offers a variety of entertainment, panels, and activities, while also serving as a fundraiser for the library.
The event, organized entirely by volunteers, will feature an array of guests from the worlds of film, television, literature, cosplay, and podcasts. Attendees can explore vendor booths offering toys, artwork, books, and collectibles. Gaming enthusiasts can enjoy both e-gaming and tabletop experiences throughout the weekend. Panels and live performances will provide additional entertainment for attendees of all interests.
All funds raised during the event will contribute to ensuring the continuation of White River Fan Con in future years and supporting various aspects of the Independence County Library’s operations.
One of the event’s organizers, Joel Williams (pictured above), recently spoke with Sean Peer of Arkansas 103.3 KWOZ about the upcoming convention. Joining them was White River Fan Con’s Voice Over Guest of Honor, Jason Douglas. Douglas, well known for his role as Tobin on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” has also voiced characters in the film, “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” and two installments of the “Borderlands” video game series.
