
Frederick Merole Beard, 78, of Cave City, departed this life on February 25, 2025. He was born on July 29, 1946, in Pulaski, Tennessee, to John and Rubye (Johns) Beard.
Fred dedicated twenty years of his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force, retiring with honor. His commitment to his fellow veterans extended beyond his military service, as he served as a V.F.W. Commander for many years, always advocating for and supporting those who had served.
Beyond his service, Fred found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, finding peace by the water with a rod in hand. Golf was another of his passions, where he enjoyed friendly competition and camaraderie. He was also a man who appreciated a good coffee shop, where he could share stories and laughter with friends.
Above all, Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His love for his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and love that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Robert Beard and Bryan Beard.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel, of the home; his daughter, Rae Lee Rodriguez, of Newport; his sisters, Debra Baker of Orlando, Florida and Cheryl Dakema of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren, Darnell Beard and Derrick Rodriguez; his great grandchild, Damian Beard; and a lifetime of friends.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00-7:00p.m.
