Arkansas State Police arrested a Minnesota man on felony sexual assault charges following a routine traffic stop Wednesday on U.S. 67.
Landen Michael Valiant (pictured below), 21, of Mora, Minnesota, faces fourth-degree sexual assault charges after troopers pulled over a 2015 Audi A6 for a traffic violation around 1:30 p.m., according to authorities.
Troopers discovered Valiant traveling with an underage girl from White County. During questioning, Valiant told investigators he met the girl on a social media messaging app in 2024 and first met her in person approximately two months ago.
The Arkansas Department of Human Services’ Division of Children & Family Services responded to the scene and arranged services for the child.
State police special agents reported finding sexual and unlawful content on Valiant’s electronic device. He was transported to the White County Detention Center for booking. His bond was set at $150,000, and his first court appearance is scheduled for May 6.
The investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
