
Joe Douglas Harrison, 60, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away February 27th, 2025, peacefully, at his home. He was born May 21st, 1964, in Doniphan, Missouri, to Billy Joe and Gladys EvaGean (Holliman) Harrison.
Joe was a Christian and loved the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, talking, and simply swapping stories. Joe knew everybody and didn’t meet a stranger. He was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Harrison; two sisters, Dorinda Farmer and Billie Dumas.
Left to cherish his memory is his three children, Joseph Harrison of Michigan, Samuel Harrison of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Jazman Harrison of Quitman, Arkansas; mother, Gladys Harrison; one sister, Phyllis (Joe) Wilmington, North Carolina; one brother, Terry (Vilma) Harrison of Sunray, Texas. Joe is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Brother Junior Barham officiating. Interment will take place at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, in Quitman, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Samuel Harrison, Terry Harrison, Johnny Holliman, Lowell McKenzie, Henry Fedd, and Neal Harness.
Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Harrison, Art Eidt, Johnny Rose, and Robert Clark.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
