
The Lyon College men’s basketball team has earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming USCAA Division I Men’s Small College Basketball National Championship, set for March 10-14 in Buffalo, New York.
The Scots (17-8) will open the tournament against No. 7 seed Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo (12-10) in a first-round matchup on Tuesday, March 11, at 3:45 p.m. at Villa Maria College’s Athletic Center.
The winner will advance to face either No. 3 seed Villa Maria (20-7) or No. 6 seed Mid-Atlantic Christian (17-13) in the semifinals on Thursday, March 13, at 6:45 p.m. at Villa Maria. (To see the full brackets, click on this link BRACKETS).
On the other side of the bracket, No. 1 seed Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse (17-4) will take on No. 8 seed Berkeley College (17-10) at 3:45 p.m. on March 10. No. 4 seed Southeastern Illinois College (17-6) will play No. 5 seed The Apprentice School (16-7) at 6 p.m. on March 12.
Both winners will advance to the semifinals on March 13 at Erie Community College.
The championship game will be held on Friday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. at SUNY Erie Community College’s Burt Flickinger Center.
Consolation games for first-round losers will take place March 12 at Villa Maria.
