It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Margaret Mills, who died on March 7, 2025, at the age of 88. Mary was born on February 19, 1937, in Desha, AR, to Norris Winfred Mills and Leona Leonard Mills.
Mary worked for MacMillan Bloedel/Weyerhaeuser for 28 years, retiring in 1998. She was known for her kindness, compassion, and dedication, where she formed lasting bonds with both her coworkers and the people around her.
Mary was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and had a passion for travel. She cherished her visits to places like Hawaii, Hong Kong, Mexico, and Greece.
She is survived by her niece, Peggy Diaz (Larry) of Little Rock, and grandnephew Jonathan Diaz of Kirkland, WA, and grandniece Sarah Gifford (Chris) of Jonesboro, AR. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Winfred C. Mills, Annona Etheridge, Geraldine Pierce, Aaron Mills, Dorothy Fern Mills, and Marion Mills.
Mary was especially compassionate toward animals and people, and her kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Alderbrook Cemetery in Desha, AR, at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30pm prior to service at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
